As education was very important to Greg growing up in the inner city of East New York, and with an opportunity to further his education with an athletic basketball scholarship, Greg sought out to further his education to become a very well respected supervisor, protector, mentor, husband, father, friend, exceptional college basketball player and captain, spiritual human being and faithful servant to our Lord. This scholarship foundation will be a productive and worthwhile opportunity to reach out to the community where Greg worked for the Grand Prairie Police Department for 30 years, at the position of Sergeant, until his untimely and horrific death. In honor of my husband and Erin's father, it is our desire to take our personal tragedy and make it a positive reflection of my husband's life and legacy by assisting students to further their education, so they too, can become productive citizens in our world. This Memorial Scholarship Foundation awards (2) $1000 scholarships annually to either a graduating senior from Grand Prairie High School, South Grand Prairie High school or a graduating senior of a dependent child of a police officer or employee with the Grand Prairie Police Department.  To date, $12,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
